Thursdays | 10:00 AM–12:30 PM Weekly Spring Session (6 classes): $330 Watercolor & Inner Landscapes Paint the landscape inside you. 6-Week Watercolor and Mixed Media Workshop This six-week workshop explores watercolor as a way of painting inner landscapes, where natural elements become visual metaphors for movement, structure, and emotion. Working with watercolor, ink, and mixed media, students will develop a personal painting through a process of studies, experimentation, and layered exploration. Each session begins with gestural studies, pigment experiments, and compositional exercises designed to expand how we think about watercolor. We will explore both traditional and experimental approaches, including washes, transparency, texture, ink line, and mixed-media techniques. Participants will create small studies and collage compositions inspired by natural forms, textures, and structures. These visual fragments gradually evolve into a larger painting developed over the six weeks. Students are encouraged to explore their own imagery—whether inspired by landscape, abstract forms, the body, or personal symbolism. More experienced painters will have space to pursue layered conceptual ideas and mixed-media approaches, while newer students will build a strong foundation in watercolor technique and composition. By the end of the workshop, each participant will have developed a substantial watercolor or mixed-media painting built from their own process and discoveries.
